Spengler & Agans, PLLC is a different kind of law firm.
We are a boutique practice offering litigation and transactional services to businesses and individuals throughout Western North Carolina. Our lean operating model enables us to deliver those services at competitive rates, and we are committed to a responsive, client-centric, and collaborative approach to the provision of legal representation.
We do not believe in the commodification of legal services or a “one-size fits all” approach. Every solution is personalized. Whether you are a large company, a small business, or an individual, you can rest assured that we will give your matter the individualized care and attention it deserves. We will not take a matter on if we cannot make that commitment.
We believe in fair billing practices and in minimizing surprises. Our model works—for every client.
Justin Agans and Eric Spengler founded the firm in Charlotte, North Carolina, in 2013. In the course of building out a separate consulting business, the two discovered that the existing legal marketplace presented few suitable options for early-stage entrepreneurs like themselves. Founders and startups face cutting-edge legal and regulatory challenges, but they often cannot afford the legal spend required to retain a high head-count, high-overhead traditional law firm to address those challenges.
Justin and Eric set out to solve the problem by opening a law practice that would run the same way a startup does: lean, flexible, and effective. From day one, they committed to providing high quality legal services at competitive rates.
As it turns out, that model attracts more than just startups, and the firm is on a growth trajectory. In 2018, the firm moved into a new permanent office space at 352 North Caswell Road.
We invest in WNC communities.
Our firm is putting down roots in WNC. We consider ourselves fortunate to have the opportunity to grow our families and our practices in this wonderful place, and we are committed to helping others in our community pursue their own dreams, whatever their path may be. In our professional lives, we support the WNC startup community by sponsoring and volunteering with regular events such as Pitch Breakfast and Startup Weekend.
Life is about more than just business, of course, and we are also committed to doing our part to ensure that WNC remains a great place to live, not just a great place to work. For example, Eric has taken on a leadership role in the Queen’s Park Project—the ongoing quest to build a world-class “Central Park” in Charlotte for every resident to enjoy.
